About Us
Founded in Atlanta in 2014 by filmmaker Laura Asherman, Forage Films produces independent documentaries and commercials. We strive to find extraordinary stories that stir our viewers to ask questions and feel, at times, unexpected emotions. Guided by the belief that people should be empowered to tell their own stories, we select projects that foster a spirit of collaboration between filmmakers and participants.
While each of our projects has been created by teams made of diverse and talented crews. Our current commercial projects are directed, produced and filmed by wife and husband team, director/producer Laura Asherman and cinematographer Bill Politis.

.01 PLANNING :
It can be hard wrapping your head around a video project or campaign. In our initial consultation, you can expect a series of questions geared to understanding your platform, goals, artistic inclination.
.02 PRE-PRODUCTION :
Probably the most underappreciated part of the process, we take preproduction extremely seriously. By scouting locations, creating detailed storyboards, and honing interview questions, we make sure to anticipate all day-of challenges, making the shoot a breeze.
We excel in collaborating with clients on commercials and branded content from inception to completion, while taking the time to recognize the unique needs of each project. Whether you're in the initial stages of ideation or have storyboards locked and ready, we take on the right projects at any point. We offer services in producing, shooting, directing, and editing, tailored to your specific requirements.
.03 PRODUCTION :
Our small team comprises only the most talented and respectful crew members to ensure the day of the shoot runs smoothly and is stress free. We own and operate an Arri Alexa Mini, Zeiss cinema prime lenses, and an arsenal of high quality lights, so your project looks amazing.
.04 POST :
At this point in the process, we’re thanking ourselves for the time spent upfront in planning and preproduction. We pride ourselves on timely edits and easy communication with our clients so the end product exceeds your expectations.
